Founded in 2002, COPP Marketing + Design is a full-service marketing agency based in Waterloo, Ontario. In addition to our in-house capabilities to handle creative and digital marketing projects, we offer clients bilingual services through our Montreal office.

Brdjanin | Creative Director
Darko’s career began in Europe working as an art director with Saatchi and Saatchi, and as a consultant and assistant professor in advertising and design. In Canada, he quickly established new credentials working as senior art director on leading accounts including Enbridge/Consumers Gas, Environment Canada, Natural Resources Canada, and Progistix (a former division of Bell Canada). Some of Darko’s client work has included large brands: Rogers, Manulife, KPMG, BDO, Wolseley Canada and TORLYS. Darko holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Sarajevo Fine Art Academy, and a Masters degree in Product Design from the Universita Internazionale Dell’Arte in Florence, Italy.
Dippell | Chief Strategist
An expert at transforming client challenges into creative solutions, Chris brings a real-world business perspective to his well-honed sense of corporate communications. His talent is in creating compelling content that earns attention and compels action. He has over 20 years of experience as a marketing and communications professional and has worked in the financial services, insurance, legal and tech sectors. Chris’ prior experience includes senior marketing roles with a roster of best known B2B brands in Canada including PwC, KPMG, Sun Life Financial and Borden Ladner Gervais. Chris’ experience includes brand strategy, content marketing, and corporate communications.
Copp | Consultant
Before co-founding COPP in 2002, Chris had 15 years in executive marketing positions, first with Fallon McElligott (USA Agency Of The Year, twice), and later in Canada with media companies, Southam and Torstar. He brings high-level experience in all aspects of marketing and communications, including brand strategy development and copywriting for major accounts such as Coca-Cola, Ralston Purina, and American Brands. Chris has a BA in Film and Media and an MBA specializing in Marketing.
Hall | Senior Art Director
Doug has over ten years’ experience in branding and website design. He has over eight years of experience working for agencies in New York and Dallas, including Bernhardt Fudyma Design Group and Click Here, a division of the Richards Group. Doug’s has a BFA in Communication Design from Texas State University. Doug has worked with many well-known clients including BDO, KPMG, Manulife and Rogers. His main areas of focus include branding and graphic design.
Pijanovic | Senior Art Director
Marijana is a graduate of Graphic Design at Durham College and has worked professionally for over fifteen years. Marijana has won several prestigious awards for design from notable organizations such as OHBA, SAMMY and CHBA. Marijana has worked with many reputable clients including Monarch Homes, Skyline Resorts, Ashcroft and many other companies around the GTA and Canada. Marijana enjoys the challenge of creating a distinct aesthetic for each client and their projects.
Robere | Senior Developer
A graduate of Multimedia Production at Confederation College in Thunder Bay, Danny is an accomplished front-end web developer and content management system expert with over eight years of professional industry experience. Danny’s experience includes extensive web design and portal development. Some of his clients have included Wolseley Canada, TAPS, Illumiti and TORLYS. His main goal with projects is to ensure a smooth front-end user experience while maintaining the complexity clients need in their content management systems.

Vanessa graduated from the University of Waterloo with a B.A in English Literature and Rhetoric with a Fine Arts Minor. She combines her passion for rhetoric and creative writing with a lens of critical thinking to strategize and develop marketing campaigns for digital, social and print purposes. With more than six years’ experience writing for clients and working on digital strategies, Vanessa enjoys the challenge of taking a client brief and turning it into a successful campaign.

John specializes in brand strategy and using social media to build meaningful relationships with consumers, particularly in the highly competitive home products marketplace. John has held executive marketing roles in entrepreneurial and blue-chip businesses, and helped companies straddle French/English markets and Canadian/US markets with success. John has a BA from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from McGill University. He conducts meetings and presentations in both English and French.
